ACF NGO Malta Programme. Bilateral Cooperation Initiatives Call for Applications.

SOS Malta announces an open rolling call for NGOs for the outcome “Enhanced collaboration between beneficiary and donor state entities involved in the Programme.”

The objective of the call is to support activities that enhance relations between Maltese NGOs and entities in the donor states (Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway) while contributing to the overall objective of the ACF.

Bilateral cooperation initiatives are intended to finance short-term exchanges of experience, such as internships, study visits, short training courses and participation in workshops.

Applications must include a letter of intent from the entity in the donor country to participate in the initiative.

Potential applicants may submit a concept note and request feedback and assistance to identify a relevant bilateral donor country partner.  Matchmaking events between Maltese NGOs and potential bilateral donor country partners will be held from time to time and announced on this page.

Active Citizens fund in Malta call for proposals covers the two main outcomes envisaged for ACF Malta, with VO’s being encouraged to come up with innovative activities and solutions to problems pertaining to the following: 

 

Outcome 1 – Increased support for human rights and social inclusion

The projects that will be selected under Outcome 1 will aim to increase the awareness and advocacy for human rights and social inclusion, support inter-generational dialogue, provide education on human rights, increase the knowledge and awareness of intercultural competence and cross-cultural sensitivity, and counter-speech to curb hate speech and negative stereotypes.

 

Outcome 2 – Increased citizen participation in civic activities

The projects that will be selected under Outcome 2 will aim to increase citizen involvement in public decision-making, increase civic participation and provide education in media literacy for VO’s and the general public.

ACF Malta seeks to strengthen the capacity and sustainability of the civil society sector through all projects under all areas of support being required to set aside a minimum of 5% of their grant to improve their financial management capacity.

Asylum-seekers and migrants are one of the target groups of the program and it shall be ensured through the open call that projects focusing on this target group are supported.
